RAPPAHANNOCK COUNTY, VIRGINIA
November 4-5, 2006: Second Annual ARTISTS OF RAPPAHANNOCK STUDIO & GALLERY TOUR – With the magnificent beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the lush fields flourishing in autumn’s colors, the perfect setting is provided for the talented Rappahannock artists to once again showcase their myriad talents.
The Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community (RAAC) presents the Artists of Rappahannock Studio & Gallery Tour, November 4 and 5, 2006, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., rain or shine. Artists participating in the juried festival will display their artwork either in their own studios or in a gallery setting at one of the many professional galleries in the historic villages of Washington, Sperryville, Amissville, and Flint Hill. Ten galleries and more than 12 studios will be awaiting your visit, providing a variety of different media.
Visitors will pick up a descriptive map at the Fire Hall in Washington to guide them through the tour. The Fire Hall itself will be transformed into a “mini-gallery” to provide a preview of what can be seen. Visitors then visit the galleries and open studios. Local retail shops, restaurants, and inns will display brochures on the many recreational amenities available in the County, including a variety of award-winning wineries.
Festival planners invite visitors to come for the day or a weekend stay.
