The annual Artists of Rappahannock Studio & Gallery Tour is an event that is only possible through the efforts of dedicated volunteers and sponsors from the community. They not only underwrite the costs of the tour but also perform the countless other tasks that are needed to make this event a success each year. Now in its sixth year, our award-winning tour traditionally draws nearly 1,000 art lovers from all over the Mid-Atlantic Region to the two-day event, held this year on November 6 and 7.

The tour is sponsored by the Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community (RAAC), a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote a sense of community through art and cultural programs that enhance the community and its artistic well-being.

Are you interested in other artists’ tours in the region?
This year, the Artists of Rappahannock Studio & Gallery Tour has forged an alliance with other open studio tours to showcase the many artists who live in rural Virginia, Maryland, and West Virginia. The mission of this new group – The Alliance of Artists Regional Tours (AART) – is to promote other open studio tours in our region. All the tours spotlight the open studios of local artists.

Our partnering members include tours in and around these areas:

Charlottesville, Virginia    [View the tours video from YouTube]
  Western Loudoun County, Virginia
  Berkeley Springs, West Virginia
  Allegany County, Maryland
