Overview
The Membership Committee is charged with maintaining the database of contact information for all RAAC members and individuals who have expressed an interest in RAAC activities. The Membership Committee also issues printed mailings, emails and other correspondence to help recruit new RAAC members. The committee works with the Hospitality Committee to plan, coordinate, and organize the annual RAAC Membership Party held each August or September.

Duties & responsibilities

• Maintain the database of contact information for all RAAC members, as well as individuals who have expressed interest in being on the general mailing list about RAAC activities.
• Create and send out the annual membership letter and membership card each July to recruit new RAAC members. This requires working with the printer to have letters and membership cards printed, stamped, and mailed.
• Issue receipts and write thank you notes for all renewed and new RAAC members.
• Create the invitation for the annual RAAC Membership party, send to the final invitation to the printer, and provide labels to the printer for mailing invitations.
• Plan, organize, and coordinate the details and logistics of the annual RAAC Membership Party held in August or September. (The Membership Committee works in conjunction with the Hospitality Committee, as well as the Executive Committee, to plan this event.)
• Work with RAAC officers and committee chairs to issue emails or other correspondence to the mailing list.
• Provide mailing lists and labels to committee chairs as needed.
• Collect information from the RAAC website of individuals interested in volunteer opportunities and disseminate among committee chairs.
• As needed, send e-mail requests to the general mailing list to solicit volunteers for committees and then pass along that information to committee chairs for follow up.
