Overview
RAAC hosts a speaker’s series at the Rappahannock County Library on the second Friday evening of each month (September through May). The series features a wide range of speakers and topics of interest to local residents, drawing primarily but not exclusively upon local authors, artists, and experts in their fields. The events are offered to the public free of charge.

Duties & responsibilities

• Identify and contact potential speakers for the full year’s series.
• Work with the speakers to plan their presentations.
• Publicize the events: research information on the speaker and the topic, and write press releases for local papers, RappNet, etc.
• Make necessary logistical arrangements for the events such as equipment for the speakers, room reservation, and set-up.
• Assist the evening of each event in introducing the speaker and facilitating the discussion as needed.
