RAAC Community Theatre

2011-12 Schedule

All performances will take place in the RAAC Community Theatre at 310 Gay Street, Washington, Virginia.

March (date to be announced)

Heroes

An hilarious, poignant and charming European play translated by Tom Stoppard about three World War 1 veterans who pass their monotony filled days in a military hospital/retirement home engaging in verbal battles of long forgotten military campaigns, grumbling about the staff and reflections on their lives. We have so many potential players with the necessary age that we are planning to do two successive evenings with two different casts. A staged reading.

8 p.m. $15

About the RAAC Community Theatre

The RAAC Community Theatre is a resource for the whole Rappahannock area. We present plays, readings, poetry coffee houses, and workshops.

The RAAC Theatre Committee welcomes new participants and wants to hear from you if you are interested in joining in our activities. We are always seeking community members who would like to try something new.

We would love to give you an opportunity to work either onstage or backstage. We have opportunities for actors, directors, and playwrights; for lighting, costume, and set designers; and for musicians and singers.

If you’re intrigued by any aspect of theatre, here’s your chance to become involved. No experience or long-term commitment is necessary – most of us started here as beginners and had so much fun we’ve stayed involved.

For information or questions you may have about the Theatre, please send an email to theatre@raac.org.
