DESCRIPTION:Anora is a 2024 American romantic comedy-drama film\, written\, directed and produced by Sean Baker. It stars Mikey Madison as Anora\, a stripper from Brooklyn\, New York who marries the wealthy son of a Russian oligarch\, Vanya\, played by Mark Eydelshteyn. The Cinderella fairytale story quickly becomes threatened\, taking many twists and turns\, once the wedding news reaches Russia\, and Vanya’s parents set out for New York to get the marriage annulled. \nAnora swept the Academy Awards\, winning Oscars for Best Picture\, Best Director\, Best Actress\, Best Original Screenplay\, and Best Film Editing. It also won the prestigious Palme D’Or at last year’s Cannes Film Festival. \nThe RAAC film is free\, but donations are welcome to offset production costs. Hearing assistance is available.

Band members include: Jess Estienne—lead singer\, song writer\, rhythm guitarist; Chris Bishop—back-up vocals\, lead guitarist; Rappahannock’s own\, Aury Holtslag—drummer; Logan Unger—bassist; Justin Carver—pedal steel.
