Auditions for Almost, Maine
Set in a town too small to be a town and too populated to be wilderness Almost, Maine by John Cariani
is a popular 2004 romantic comedy-drama. It is composed of nine, loosely connected vignettes exploring
love and loss in a remote, mythical town in northern Maine. On a cold, magical Midwinter Night,
residents experience the literal, magical, and often humorous realities of relationships, heartbreak, and
unexpected connections under the aurora borealis.
Performance dates are September 25, 26, and 27. After a table read of the script in June, rehearsals will
begin in mid-July.
All roles are open for actors teen-aged to older adults. Auditions will be held on Sunday, May 31 from
2:00 to 4:30 pm and ON Monday, June 1 (6:30 – 8:00 pm) (or by special arrangement with the director,
if necessary) at the Little Washington Theatre, 291 Gay Street, Washington, VA.
