RAAC partners with Rappahannock County Public Schools and Headwaters to create arts education experiences for county kids. Programs have included summer workshops & a drama camp and after school & school-year enrichment classes. Through our Claudia Mitchell Arts Fund we have supported many kids’ arts projects including a summer chorus, private instrumental lessons, school play productions, song writing workshops, band coaching and more. Each November county schools are invited to produce collaborative murals for special exhibition during RAAC’s Fall Art Tour. (See Art Tour section on website).

The RAAC Community Theatre also offers young people opportunities to act in or play backstage roles in a variety of community productions, and in particular, the holiday show each December traditionally includes many roles for children of all ages.
