Soup and Soul

The next RAAC Soup and Soul event will feature Rappahannock artist Linda Croxson.

Linda, an abstract painter working primarily in oils, will share a very “personal history of art” as reflected in the use of line throughout human history, from the cave paintings made 30,000 years ago to the Greeks, the Renaissance artists and to our own contemporaries. Linda describes line as “the intentional creation of a record of a human movement,” and she will illustrate different approaches to line-making throughout history, what it has meant to her and how it has contributed to the evolution of her own work.

Soup and Soul events include a potluck dinner in a host home along with a presentation/conversation with a local artist. Tickets are $25 and must be purchased in advance and information/directions to the host home will be provided upon purchase.

The event is sold out. Email soupnsoul@raac.org to be placed on a waiting list.
